Bush takes a victory lap

With the recent good news the president holds a press conference. Following his super secret visit to Iraq it seems the whitehouse is feeling a little more confident. I suppose he should feel good about no really bad news for the past couple of weeks. Time will tell if it will make any real difference in the polls. I’m sure Karl Rove is feeling his oats about now since he seems to have squeaked by an indictment.

Al-Zarqawi near death still attempts escape

I have to give him credit for not giving up, but good thing that we got him. One down and who knows how many to go, every little bit helps. I just hope this doesn’t inpire more just like him to pop up and fill the void. He had near zero possiblity of surviving let alone escaping.
