Be careful what you wish for… I am reminded of the tale of the rabbit who when captured begged please whatever you do please don’t throw me in that briar patch… I feel sure the proclaimations that Hillary has the democratic domination in the bag must be a head game. Otherwise why would the president even join in the chorus. I think rove stated it and all his loyal subjects feel in line. Desperation has set in for the republicans but the only thing that is certain in my opinion is they will take another beating at the polls. It is way too early to call either parties nominee. My prediction at this point is one of the dems besides Hillary or Obama will get the nomination. Who knows it could turn out that a second tier candidate wins the nomination on both sides. Although I feel this is more likely for the democrats than for the republicans. I don’t have a personal pick yet but will decide soon enough. I just think it is significant that republicans are making predictions already. It shows more than anything else they are so anxious to focus on a single candidate. I think it indicates a strong field and my guess would be that all of republican candidates see higher numbers against Hillary. I think they see her as their last best hope for holding on to power. Be careful what you wish for…

No wonder the majority of republicans are supporting “none of the above” hoping a better candidate will jump in the race. The Republican presidential candidates are far outside the mainstream, making remarks that are dangerous and alarming. At the first debate most of the Republican candidates stood up in front of First Lady Nancy Reagan last week and told her in no uncertain terms they would not support federally-funded stem cell research. Mitt Romney said he thinks that it’s entirely possible that Iraq hid weapons of mass destruction in Syria (sound familiar, the politics of FEAR). On illegal immigration you have, Tom Tancredo stating that immigration is an “issue of our culture itself, and whether we will survive.” I think he foregot the “illegal” part. All they have left are old tired statements that no longer rally anyone. I think they are out of ideas as well as being out of touch with American mainstream.

I’m sure they have no memory of what actually happened but like th AG they are sure all was legal. If the truth ever comes out I am sure they will have to drag it out of someone. Truth is something tightly contained in the Bush administration. I would assume one has to be a ‘bushy’ to get real facts.

Well that doesn’t fit the Bush administration’s agenda. Bush claims off the record back room no transcript “information” is as close as the democrats will get to the truth. They don’t want anyone to be able to detect whether or not they are telling the truth. Plain and simple under oath on the record forces the truth or serious consequences. Too risky they have never been in position where anything short of the truth is unacceptable. I say it is about time they had their feet to the fire. That’s politics, and if they don’t like it they should have choosen another line of work. It always tickles the shit out of me to hear a politician complain about their opponents “playing politics”. It is they game they all play on all sides of any issue. I say the person complaining about the other guy playing politics must be losing the game.
