Republican presidential candidates out of touch
May 11, 2007 on 8:11 pm | In Political Powers | 2 CommentsNo wonder the majority of republicans are supporting “none of the above” hoping a better candidate will jump in the race. The Republican presidential candidates are far outside the mainstream, making remarks that are dangerous and alarming. At the first debate most of the Republican candidates stood up in front of First Lady Nancy Reagan last week and told her in no uncertain terms they would not support federally-funded stem cell research. Mitt Romney said he thinks that it’s entirely possible that Iraq hid weapons of mass destruction in Syria (sound familiar, the politics of FEAR). On illegal immigration you have, Tom Tancredo stating that immigration is an “issue of our culture itself, and whether we will survive.” I think he foregot the “illegal” part. All they have left are old tired statements that no longer rally anyone. I think they are out of ideas as well as being out of touch with American mainstream.
Testify Under Oath on the Record?
March 20, 2007 on 6:24 pm | In Political Powers | 2 CommentsWell that doesn’t fit the Bush administration’s agenda. Bush claims off the record back room no transcript “information” is as close as the democrats will get to the truth. They don’t want anyone to be able to detect whether or not they are telling the truth. Plain and simple under oath on the record forces the truth or serious consequences. Too risky they have never been in position where anything short of the truth is unacceptable. I say it is about time they had their feet to the fire. That’s politics, and if they don’t like it they should have choosen another line of work. It always tickles the shit out of me to hear a politician complain about their opponents “playing politics”. It is they game they all play on all sides of any issue. I say the person complaining about the other guy playing politics must be losing the game.
Decision 2006 Vote Today
November 7, 2006 on 9:45 am | In Political Powers | 2 CommentsThis could be a very good day for democrats.
I predict either the democrats with take control of BOTH houses of congress or neither. My money is on both. Since the house never has turned over without the senate I think it will be all or nothing. Any democrat that can’t win in this political environment should get a real job.
Another guilty republican
September 15, 2006 on 3:33 pm | In Political Powers | 1 CommentThe not so moral majority is beginning to see the end of it’s moral high ground. Of course they would never do anything as terrible as Clinton (Monica). So they still THINK they are better than the rest of us. Such arrogance makes me want to puke.
