What’s up with all the Hoodia hype?

It seem’s eveywhere you turn these days people are talking about Hoodia Gordonii. I have seen news reports and endless advertisements so there must be something to it.

Hoodia Claimed Effects/Benefits include:

  • Feeling full more quickly
  • A delay in the time after eating before hunger sets in again
  • A general feeling of well being
  • A reduced interest in food.
  • As it will help you reduce calorie intake means it will surely help you in weight loss.

I suppose anything that helps to reduce appetite might provide some help with loosing weight. But I can’t help but wonder if it is yet another fad like Atkins or if it will last.

They have been following progress of dieter’s using hoodia on my local news channel and so far the results are very good. Not exactly mega-pounds in one week but very real reasonable weight loss. I would say the conclusion is this stuff really does work.

  1. Less appetite leading to weight loss just supports the age old advice. Eat less exercise more and you will loose weight. Duh. But anything that makes these two simple ideas easier has to be good.
